Illinois Clean Slate Act automatically seals criminal records
ROCK ISLAND, ILL (KWQC)— Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the Clean Slate Act into law, which will automatically seal certain criminal records. The law applies to people with non-violent offenses, but not everyone qualifies. Violent crimes, sexual violence, reckless driving, and DUIs are examples of charges that will stay on someone’s record.
